I've been riding the Groupon/Living Social pony for about 18 months now so I had already purchased a small plastic coupon wallet that fits into my (admittedly giant) purse to keep these with me at all times. I got it a Staples for about $8 and although it makes me feel like a Depression-era housewife, its been a real help. It has a bunch of dividers and sticky labels to make keeping it in order a cinch.
Some of the categories I use currently are:
- Auto
- Beauty
- Cleaning
- Clothing and Gifts
- Entertainment
- Groceries
- Health (primarily dental and medications)
- Home (miscellaneous things like batteries, air freshners)
- Husband (for manly related things and products)
- Pets
- Restaurants (mostly Groupons live here, but since I got an Entertainment Book, there are some coupon siblings crashing here too)
I also purchased a small scale paper slicing tool from Michaels to make cutting coupons faster and easier. It cost about $40 but I used a 40% off coupon (which seem to run every week) and an additional 25% coupon to get it for less than half price. A decent pair of scissors of course also does the trick.
I also use some basic white office envelopes for organizing my weekly shopping trip.
